Design:

The drone design is somewhat unique compared to most of the consumer drones. It has four sturdy, well-made legs on which the whole body of the drone sits.

From its outlook, the drone looks pretty heavy but in actual, it's light in weight. The camera system is stabilized and is placed away from the body. Hence, the camera has enough room to capture what it sees.

Overall, the drone has been built with fine plastic which makes it reliable to fly and use.

Camera:

As the drone name indicates “4K” Typhoon Q500 is a 4K capable drone. The quality of the video is fantastic. The amount of detail it captures is worth every penny. Other than 4K, 1080 at 120 fps is also offered.

The good thing regarding the camera assembly is the way that it has been placed under the drone. It can easily rotate sideways plus it can tilt more than 100 degrees allowing more room for motion shots.

Overall, the camera package this drone has to offer is excellent.

Controller:

The controller this camera comes with is interesting. The most noticeable feature is that it has a built-in 5.5-inch touch display. Meaning no need to attach separate smartphone for the video feedback.

The display itself is fairly bright and is easily visible outdoors. The controller has all the controls and dials needed to fly the drone.

The joysticks are well made and provide good feedback. The battery capacity of the controller is also good and can last for a decent amount of period. Overall, the controller is easy to use!

Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4k also offers dual battery bundle giving which means you can increase its flight time. Other than this, the drone also offers some neat intelligent flying modes including “follow me” and “watch me” modes.
