Yuneec Breeze 4k Review

Add to compare
Yuneec as a brand has a decent reputation in the drone market. They have been into this business for quite a long time now. Yuneec Breeze 4k sets their level a little too high now.

Design:

The best thing about Yuneec Breeze 4k is its size and weight. It’s extremely portable and lightweight hence, it’s easy to carry. The design language is relatively straightforward. The whole body of the drone is made out of plastic. The propellers are tiny, but they are powered by brushless motors so there is no scope of complaints here. Also, the included package comes with two extra set of propellers.

On the front of the drone is its camera. Beneath the drone are a couple of infrared sensors joined by vision positioning sensor.

Normally budget drones don’t have such add-ons but Yuneec has tweaked this drone with all the necessary bells and whistles.

Performance:

The done flies well in the air. Its ascending and descending speed is a bit less than the other drones. But again, it is consumer friendly and its speed in the air is reasonable for an average consumer.

The drone doesn’t come with a dedicated controller, as it was made considering portability in mind. There is a dedicated app available on both the major platforms for this purpose. The app itself is stable and works well without crashing.

The drone can be flown for up to 100 meters, which sounds a bit less and won't satisfy a lot of drone lovers.

In the given range, the drone is easy to control and fly. The controls in the app are responsive. The drone also has autonomous flying modes like orbit and follow me, to name a few.

The infrared and the vision positioning system are a bonus here, due to these sensors the drone hovers very well in the air.

Camera:

The Yuneec Breeze 4k comes loaded with a 13-megapixel camera, capable of recording 4k video at 30 fps. Moreover, it also records 1080p videos at 60fps and 720p clips at 120 fps.

The overall quality of the footage is good and can be used for several purposes. The drone uses a digital image stabilizer instead of a gimbal. The shakiness is well controlled.

Also, the photographs it captures are decent for a consumer drone. In terms of camera quality, this drone won’t let down any of its users.

The battery:

As the drone is very small and light, its battery is also following the same path. The flight time of this drone is about 10 minutes.

The good news here is that the package comes with two batteries.

Therefore, flying time becomes 20 minutes which isn’t bad at all. The charging time of each battery is in between 30 to 45 minutes.

Verdict:

Yuneec have come up with a feature rich consumer drone. The drone has a decent onboard camera, is extremely portable and comes loaded with infrared sensors. It’s a good package for anyone out there looking for their first drone.

Last but not the least the drone is affordable. Overall, it is a cool little drone with a 4k camera on board.
